Practicalities & Pianos

• We have ample parking, plus pavements so pupils can walk from Shaftesbury Schools.
• There is a waiting room with a large table and seating for reading and homework
  plus a selection of magazines for parents and toys for younger pupils and siblings.
• I teach in 2 further rooms the first has a Yamaha U1 upright piano, the other a recording studio has a Yamaha G grand piano
  plus space for band rehearsals for more advanced pupils and exam practice.
• Complementary Coffee and Teas are normally available as are the usual facilities.

Other Instruments

I also accompany a large number of pupils taking exams on other instruments,

My Background

I am an active performing musician, originally from Manchester, I have played and sung all my life;
playing classical piano from 4 years old and receiving vocal training at the Northern School of Music in the 1970s.
I moved to Shaftesbury in 1997 and since then I have been involved with many Big Bands, Operatic Societies and choral societies including Bournemouth Symphony Chorus, Purbeck Big Band and Frome Big Band
plus playing in small Jazz combo’s like Shaston Jazz & Swing.
