Piano Teacher

I teach jazz and classical piano and have been CT ABRSM qualified since 2000.
I teach from home during term times, I am very experienced having taught for many years in schools across North Dorset
and I am CRB checked.

Pupil Backgrounds

Happy to start with complete beginners.
I teach pupils up to grade 8 both for practical & theory from age 8 to 80 including
many who are rediscovering their
love of the piano later in life.

Aims & Objectives

The love of playing and performance both solo and in small bands is the main focus rather then just exams. 
The goals and interests of the student help determine the choice of repertoire either classical or Jazz  or a mixture.

Exams syllabuses currently taught are

My target is to produce rounded confident musicians comfortable playing to and with others ideally in a range of styles and genres.
Pupil concerts involve playing with a professional Rhythm Section when ready.
